Frequently Asked Questions

Holi Festival of Colors Celebration

What should I wear?

Wear old clothes, ideally white or light-colored, that you don’t mind getting stained. Long sleeves can help minimize skin exposure while still letting you fully enjoy the celebration.

How can I protect my skin and hair?

Before arriving, apply a layer of moisturizer, sunscreen, or hair oil. This helps create a barrier so the color powders wash off more easily afterward.

Should I protect my eyes or hair?
Yes. Sunglasses or glasses can help protect your eyes, and a bandana or hat can help keep powder out of your hair.

What kind of color powder is used?

We recommend using non-toxic, natural, or herbal dry powders to prevent skin irritation and ensure the celebration remains safe and enjoyable for everyone.

How should I throw the color?

Use small handfuls of powder rather than large amounts. Colors can be gently tossed into the air or lightly applied to someone’s cheeks or shoulders.

Do I need to ask before putting color on someone?

Yes. Always ask for consent first. Holi is about joy and connection, and making sure everyone feels comfortable is part of that spirit.

Any cleanup tips?

Shake off as much dry powder as possible from your clothes, hair, and skin before showering. This prevents the powder from turning into a thicker paste when wet.

Where does the celebration take place?

Holi is best celebrated outdoors, where colors can fly freely and people can gather together in the open air. Bellforge offers the perfect setting for that experience.
