Medfield, MA [March 10, 2025] - Bellforge Arts Center is proud to announce its participation in the Card to Culture program, an initiative led by the Mass Cultural Council in partnership with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Massachusetts Health Connector, and the Department of Public Health’s Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program.
Card to Culture is the nation’s most comprehensive effort to expand cultural access to low-income and working families by offering free or steeply discounted admission to events, performances, and exhibits across Massachusetts. With more than 500 cultural organizations now participating statewide, the program has helped facilitate more than one million admissions since its launch in 2017.
As part of this initiative, Bellforge Arts Center is committed to making cultural programming more inclusive and accessible. While the majority of Bellforge’s events are already free to attend, paid events will now offer a 50% discount for EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare cardholders. This step reflects Bellforge’s broader mission to remove financial barriers and welcome audiences of all backgrounds to engage with the arts.
For participating cardholders, the Card to Culture program provides:
- Increased Accessibility to a wide range of cultural experiences- Discounted Admission to arts and educational events- Diverse Offerings spanning music, theater, visual arts, and more- Community Engagement that fosters deeper connections across communities
Participating organizations receive training and ongoing support from the Mass Cultural Council and partner agencies, helping to ensure smooth implementation and broad promotion among eligible audiences.
A complete list of participating organizations offering EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare discounts is available on the websites of the Department of Transitional Assistance, Massachusetts Health Connector, and WIC Nutrition Program.
