Medfield, MA [March 10, 2025] - Bellforge Arts Center has received a grant of $12,400 from the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, through its FY25 Gaming Mitigation Fund program.
This grant underscores the public value Bellforge Arts Center brings to the region through its live music and performing arts programming. Funding from the Gaming Mitigation Fund helps Bellforge continue to present performances by touring and professional artists, ensuring access to high-quality cultural experiences in the MetroWest area. Bellforge’s programming is designed to be inclusive, community-centered, and often free to the public, creating opportunities for thousands of attendees each season to engage with the arts.
For FY25, the Mass Cultural Council has adopted a $34 million spending plan, allowing the Agency to award at least 2,500 grants totaling approximately $38 million to the Commonwealth’s creative and cultural sector. This is funded primarily through public dollars, including the Agency’s $26.7 million state budget appropriation and support from the National Endowment for the Arts. The agency also runs the Mass Cultural Facilities Fund in partnership with MassDevelopment.
