Discover the joy of salsa and bachata through an energetic, beginner-friendly dance workshop.

This program is offered with open pricing, with a $25 minimum. Participants are encouraged to contribute at a level that feels comfortable for them while supporting Bellforge’s commitment to accessible, community-rooted programming.

Some music is hard to sit still through. It draws people out of their seats and onto the dance floor. Salsa and bachata are as much about the music as the movement — rhythm-driven traditions meant to be experienced on your feet and shared with others.

This workshop is a chance to step into those rhythms yourself. Led by Salsa y Control Dance Studio, the evening introduces the foundations of salsa and bachata through movement, laughter, and learning.

We’ll gather offsite at 7th Wave Brewing in Medfield from 6–8 PM.

The evening begins with a one-hour dance class from 6–7 PM, designed with beginners in mind. From 7–8 PM, the evening continues with an optional social hour. Keep dancing, spend time together, and enjoy beer and pizza from 7th Wave.

Come for the class, stay for the social hour, and enjoy an evening built around lively music, joyful movement, and trying something new.

Registration in advance helps us prepare for the evening. All are welcome. Space is limited.

Location: 7th Wave Brewing, Medfield, MA

Schedule: Dance workshop from 6–7 PM, followed by an optional social hour from 7–8 PM.

Experience Level: No prior dance experience is necessary.

What to Bring: Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for dancing are recommended.

No Partner Needed: Participants will rotate partners throughout the workshop, and everyone is welcome to attend on their own or with a friend.

Food + Drink: Beer and pizza will be available for purchase from 7th Wave during the social hour.

About Salsa y Control Dance Studio

Founded in 1999, Salsa y Control Dance Studio has introduced thousands of people across Greater Boston to salsa and bachata through approachable, high-quality instruction. Offering classes in Allston and Cambridge, the studio is known for creating an approachable and joyful environment. Dancers of all experience levels can build confidence while learning the rhythms, techniques, and joy of Latin social dance.

This workshop will be led by owner and instructor Andrés Giraldo. Giraldo has helped shape the studio since its founding and continues to share his passion for dance through accessible, engaging instruction.
