There’s a lot that goes into making a day at Bellforge feel welcoming, joyful and easy — and our volunteers are an important part of it.
When you volunteer with Bellforge, you become part of the team bringing our events to life. You might welcome visitors, prepare the grounds, support an activity, or lend a hand behind the scenes. Every role contributes to the experience people have here.
Along the way, you’ll meet new people, spend time outdoors, enjoy live music and creative programming, and see what goes into making a Bellforge event happen.

You don’t need special experience or an arts background to volunteer at Bellforge. Come once, return for a favorite annual event, or become a familiar face throughout the season.
Some volunteers come to meet people and feel more connected to the community. Others want to spend time outdoors, be around the arts, or contribute to a place they care about. What matters most is a willingness to pitch in.
All sorts of things! Volunteer roles vary from event to event, but here are some of the ways you might pitch in:
– Preparing outdoor spaces before guests arrive
– Welcoming visitors and helping them find their way
– Assisting with check-in, information, or event activities
– Supporting artists, vendors, or members of the Bellforge team
– Helping keep shared spaces organized during the event
– Packing supplies and resetting the grounds afterward
Every opportunity listing includes its timing, responsibilities, and any physical requirements, so you’ll always know what to expect before you sign up.
Whatever suits you best! Volunteering at Bellforge can look many different ways. Some opportunities happen during intimate workshops and smaller programs with a relaxed, easygoing pace. Others put you right in the middle of busy festivals, live music, and a campus full of people.
Prefer working behind the scenes? Love being in the thick of the action? Each listing gives you a sense of the setting, pace, and role, so you can choose the experience that feels right for you.
We’ll take care of you from the start. Once you sign up, we’ll reach out by email with everything you need to know — where to go, when to arrive, and what you’ll be helping with. When you get there, someone from Bellforge will greet you, walk you through your role, and be available for questions throughout the event. You won’t be left guessing.
Most opportunities take place outdoors on the beautiful Bellforge campus, with occasional chances to help out at partner events in nearby communities. You’ll find the exact location and details in each listing before you sign up.
Absolutely! Students ages 15–18 can complete service hours at Bellforge events. Come on your own, sign up alongside a friend, or bring a whole group together.
It’s a great chance to see how live music, festivals, and creative programming come together, all while gaining hands-on experience and giving back to your community. We’re happy to provide confirmation of your completed service hours.
