Nature Sculpting Ikebana Workshop
Ikebana is the centuries-old Japanese art of sculpting with nature. The practice, which roughly translates to “making flowers come alive,” uses carefully selected blossoms, greenery and other natural elements to convey a specific feeling or emotion to an observer—just as a painting or sculpture might. Join workshop leader Nefertiti San Miguel as she helps you create a one-of-a-kind natural creation that speaks to your current emotions. Workshop will last approximately 45 minutes. No experience necessary!
This workshop is free, courtesy of the Bellforge Arts Center, though please consider bringing with you particular supplies you would like to include in your sculpture. A supply list can be found here.
